  • What Is The Best Outdoor Variety?

    cannabis seeds

    OUTDOOR VARIETIES

Popularity of autoflowering varieties has been soaring in recent years. Because of its Ruderalis origins, auto-flowering varieties are often used for outdoor cultivation in cooler or mountainous climates. These strains are also suitable for countries with a relatively short summer and where the cold sets in as early as October. For these climates the only alternative was a quick flowering auto-flowering variety to be able to yield in time, before the cold sets in.

Auto-flowering varieties have constantly been improving in the past years. Thanks to the introduction of new hybrid varieties, using proven genetics such as; Blueberry, Santa Maria and Northern Lights.  However, they are still average yielding strains at best and are often not of great quality. Auto-flowering varieties are always indica dominant plant with relatively high CBD and a relatively low THC level.

So we felt the need to create better alternatives for outdoor. Big yielding, early finishing and quality strains for the more demanding climates.  We’d prefer to see Sativa dominant plants containing relatively high levels of THC level and having an overall superior quality in high, taste and smell. Varieties with a more refined high and that are superior in taste and smell compared to the Auto-flowering varieties.

Our outdoor varieties came through the ranks after years of breeding, selecting and crossbreeding.  Our breeders started back in the 1990’s, using varieties, such as; the infamous Viking, Early Skunk, Afghan, Early Pearl,  Purple power and even Ruderalis. All in a quest to create acclimatized, early flowering varieties for Holland. Our guys continued for many years to grow, select  and clone strains. Selecting the fastest flowering, most healthy-looking, potent and big producing phenos from these fields. They continued this process for many years and started to crossbreeding these selected phenos with genetic material brought back from Afghanistan, Brazil, Mexico,  Morocco  and  the USA.

We wanted to create acclimatized strains and early flowering hybrids, yet try to maintain the special characteristics from the varieties brought from afar. This resulted in recent years in the creation of our Polm Gold and has now led, through more years of arduous labor and intensive breeding, to the creation of three new, early-flowering varieties: Fast Bud Outdoor, Gold Rush Outdoor and Sweet ‘n Sour Outdoor.  These strains will finish outdoor in Holland from as early as beginning of September (Gold Rush Outdoor), to mid September (Polm Gold) up to maximum the end of September (Early Bud and Sweet ‘n Sour Outdoor).  Obviously a country with a land-climate at a similar latitude will result in warmer, sunnier summers. This will shorten flowering time with approximately one week or two.

These are ‘semi-auto-flowering’ (early flowering) strains and they require sufficient hours of daylight to grow. Our advice; put these plants outdoor around mid May and don’t start pre-growing them before mid to end of April. . Days are still too short before mid April and if you do start pre-growing them before that time you will force those plants into flowering prematurely. If you were to put them on a window sill too early the plants will start flowering in May. After that they will have short growing period in June, because of the longer days.  And they will again start flowering from around mid July, once the days get shorter. Never reaching their full potential.  When using light to pre-grow,  put them on a 18/6 schedule, never a 12/12 schedule.

    Polm Gold Outdoor

90% Sativa. Chefchaouen Sativa x Viking x Early Pearl genetics. Earthy, sweet and spicy flavor and taste. Stoned High. Early finisher; begin to mid September in Holland. THC medium-high.

We used genetic material from the Chefchaouen region and crossbred this variety with Viking and Early Pearl to improve yield. We further hybridized our Polm Gold through many years of selection, to suit it to the the Dutch climate. She is well suited to cold and damp conditions, that occur frequently in Holland. Polm Gold should at least have 8 weeks as a vegetative period, so place her outdoor mid May. This outdoor plant has a very short flowering period, will start flowering mid to end of July. Harvest time is mid September. If you are impatient you can, however, also harvest it as early as the beginning of September.  Although it will not have matured completely then.

Not suitable for indoor growing because this Sativa dominant plant will skyrocket. It has the best root development of all our outdoor varieties. Polm Gold will even take root on rock soil, resulting in a tall plant with big production. You might want to trim it down to a more acceptable size. If cloned and put under 24 hours of light you will see her start to flower within 2.5 weeks (auto-flowering property).

Polm Gold is the most stable, uniform variety of all our outdoor varieties. Big buds are no exception to this variety and the colas are sugarcoated, abundant with resin. This sweet tasting, highly aromatic 90 percent African Sativa is in taste is quite similar to our Blue Berry. She has a earthy, sweet and citrusy flavor and taste.  Polm Gold offers exceptional yields and has a stoned high sensation.  Possible THC level high.

    Gold Rush Outdoor

85% Sativa. Polm Gold x Purple Power x Afghan genetics.  Sweet and diesel-like taste and flavor.  Body stoned and uplifting high. Earliest finisher of all, begin September. THC level medium.

Perfected for growing outdoors in the Northern Hemispheres we took our trusted Polm Gold and mixed in an old-school Purple Power. A notoriously early flowering Purple pheno. Making Gold Rush Outdoor our earliest flowering variety, ready for harvest beginning of September. She starts flowering beginning to mid July. Gold Rush Outdoor is a very strong and sturdy plant. She is a very mould and disease resistant plant. Perfect for cold/mountainous climates.

We used the most powerful and productive Polm Gold pheno  as a mother. Therefore the Gold Rush has good resin production, a quality taste and packs a punch.  Some of the phenos will show exceptionally resinous buds.  Nothing like the Purple Power.  There can be some variation between individual plants, some showing some purple hues in the latter stages of flowering.

Gold Rush is very aromatic; she has a sweet, earthy and a slight diesel-like flavor and taste.  Gold Rush delivers a nice blended high of a body-stoned yet uplifting high sensation. Thanks to its Polm Gold (stoned) and Purple Power (high) heritage. THC level medium-high.

    Fast bud Outdoor

90% Sativa. Early PearlxMexican Sativax Californian Sativa genetics. Floral, spicy and sweet taste and flavour. Uplifting high. Harvest mid- end of September. THC  medium-high.

Again a result of intensive breeding with years of selection resulting in our Fast Bud. We used Early Pearl genetics as a base and crossed it back with Early Pearl’s origins; Mexican Sativa and a Californian Sativa. This to further stabilize her and improve flowering time, quality and yield.

Fast Bud is a quick finisher by any means. In Holland outdoors she will be completely ready for harvest end of September.  Although she can be harvested as early as mid September depending on summer weather, off course. She starts to flower mid July. Early bud has a great flower-to-leaf ratio, producing the biggest buds of all our strains in cool-climate conditions.  Early Bud is a tall and branchy plant. Of all our outdoor strains Early Bud shows the most variation between individual plants. Taste wise there can also be variation between the phenos.  Floral, peppery taste and flavor up to a sweet tangy taste and flavor.  Fast Bud has a long lasting social, uplifting high.  THC level high.

    Sweet ‘n Sour Outdoor

80% Sativa. Mexican Haze x Princess x Shiva Skunk xHawaiian Sativa. Floral, tropical sweet ‘n sour taste and flavour. Stoned and head buzz. Harvest end of September. THC medium-high.

This outdoor hybrid has been created using Mexican Haze, Princess, Shiva Skunk and a Hawaiian Sativa. Flowering commences beginning of August and harvest time is end of September when grown outdoor in Holland. Obviously a country with a land-climate at a similar latitude will result in warmer, sunnier summers. This can shorten flowering time approximately a week.  Sweet ‘n Sour Outdoor can be best described as a semi-auto-flowering Sativa dominant variety.  Sweet ‘n Sour Outdoor is good yielding outdoor plant, thanks to the Skunk genes.

She is an explosion of your taste buds. Out of all our outdoor varieties this is by far the most special tasting strain. This floral, tropical, sweet ‘n sour (citrus meets mango) taste and flavor will put water in your mouth. This is, in part, thanks to its Hawaiian Sativa heritage. The Mexican Haze genetics help create a high, which can best be described as a body stoned sensation, yet still a nice head buzz. She produces nice greasy buds and has great tri-chome formation to boot. Medicinal value: mild pain relief and insomnia. Possible THC level high.

  • What Does Our Bronze, Silver and Gold Line Stand For?

    cannabis seeds

We have three lines, being; Bronze line, Silver line and Gold line. The Bronze line is our budget line. These regular seeds are cultivated in greenhouses in larger batches. Therefore we can offer them at such a competitive price. The Silver Line is where it all started for us. This line contains the most popular genetics regular seeds have to offer. And as mentioned before the Gold line is the feminized seed collection consisting of well known genetics and specially created hybrids.

  • What Are Regular or Female Seeds?

    cannabis seeds

First of all female plants produce the flowers, which can be dried and then be smoked. Regular seeds mean the seeds can either produce male or female plants. Female or feminized seeds produce female plants.

  • What Is Indica And What Is Sativa?

    cannabis seeds

What Is Indica And What Is Sativa?

Generally speaking the lighter the color of the plant, the less THC it contains. And the more CBD is in the trichrome stalk, meaning the more "down" the high. This is typical of most indica; couch lock, narcotic etc.

You don't want to exceed 8-9 weeks flowering as this will increase THC and reduce CBD: as the phenols and terpenes progress from the base to the stalk of the trichrome, CBD is bio-synthesized into THC. As time passes, THC increases as CBD decreases, which is not what you want to do with an indica. Indicas reach maturity quicker than sativas. Less THC, more CBD. The greater the ratio of CBD to THC means it is more indica oriented.

As time goes on, and flowering reaches the 10-16 week period, THC increases as CBD decreases (as it is being bio-synthesized into THC). The greater the ratio of THC to CBD = sativa. Sativas take longer to mature, generally 10-16 weeks, more time is used to build up THC producing a more cerebral, "trippy" UP high.

    Indica

Most indica varieties originate from South-East Asia and the Indian subcontinent. These indica varieties are plants that have dense, compact buds. The flowering period is generally shorter, usually between 6 to 9 weeks. Effect of an Indica is usually a body stoned sensation. More of a physical experience and can make you sleepy. 100% Indicas are Afghan (bronze), Polm Gold (bronze) and Afghani Gold female.

Indicas originally come from the hash producing countries of the world like Afghanistan, Morocco and Tibet. They are short dense plants, with broad leaves and often grow a darker green. After flowering starts they will be mature in 6 to 8 weeks. The buds will be thick and dense, with flavors and aromas ranging from pungent skunk to sweet and fruity. The smoke from an Indica is generally a body type stone, relaxing and laid back. Indica's higher CBD than THC equals a much heavier, sleepy type of high.

Indica plants heavy, sleepy high is relaxing and can help different medical problems. Indica yield is usually higher than Sativa, and has a shorter growing season. They are better for indoor growing because they don't get as tall. Indica plants are short, bushy, mature early, and have more chlorophyll and less accessory pigments (accessory pigments protect the plant from excessive sunlight).

As indica strains have more chlorophyll than sativa they grow and mature faster. Combining different indicas, different sativas or a combination thereof creates hybrids. The resulting hybrid strains will grow, mature and smoke in relationship to the indica/sativa percentages they end up containing.

    Sativa

Sativas can be found round the equator. Sativas are usually larger plants and often don't smell as much as indicas. Sativas keep growing during the flowering period, which usually lasts 9 to 12 weeks. The effect is more of a 'high', which is usually energetic and cerebral high. 100% Sativas are Royal Thai (bronze), Citral Sativa (bronze)

Sativas are just about the opposite of Indicas. They are tall, thin plants, with much narrower leaves and grow a lighter green in color. They grow very quickly and can reach heights of 20 feet in a single season. They originally come from Colombia, Mexico, Thailand and Southeast Asia. Once flowering has begun, they can take anywhere from 10 to 16 weeks to fully mature. Flavors range from earthy to sweet and fruity.

Sativa's higher THC than CBD equals cerebral, resulting in a more energetic soaring type of high, which can stimulate brain activity and may produce hallucinations. Sativa plants have less chlorophyll and more accessory pigments, protecting the plant from excessive sunlight. As Sativa strains have less chlorophyll than Indica, they take longer to grow, mature, and require more light. Sativa typically takes longer to germinate and flower, and grows taller and ganglier than Indica breeds. The yield is usually lower than Indica, but is very potent.

Thai Sativa grows taller and has a longer flowering period, so they are better suited for outdoors.

  • How long can you keep seeds?

    cannabis seeds

If you keep them in a plastic container in the fridge you can keep them up to five years. Germination rate after 5 years will be about 80%. Optimum temperature is 4 degrees centigrade.

  • How do you germinate a seed?

    cannabis seeds

Preferred method is: Place the tissue in between two plates (one upside down on top of the other). Put the seeds in between the tissue and moisten it. Keep it moist continiously, have a room temperature of 20 to 25 degrees centigrade and check this daily. Usually after approximately 2 to 3 days the seeds will germinate and show a white root. Place the seedling in a small pot or rockwool just beneath the soil's surface (2-3 mm). Moisten the soil with a spraycan using just lukewarm water or water with a startbooster or rootstimulator. Check if it's moist enough daily.

Humidity (> 80%) is essential for the seedling to grow into a small plant. Use either a small progator with perlite and water in it or cover the pot with plastic foil with some holes punched in it. In this growth stage the plant needs 18 hours of light, using preferably a tl 33 lamp (white light) or something similar. After about a week or if the plant is 5 to 10 cm in height transplant the plant into a bigger pot. In the growing stage you should use as little as possible fertilizer since the soil already contains fertilizer and the plant is small and doesn't require too much nutrients.

  • What fertilizer do you use as a beginner?

    cannabis seeds

As a first timer you should keep it as simple as possible. Once you gain experience you can always experiment with different additives and different mediums (such as hydroponic or coco) to improve the quality or yield of your crop. Start by using regular soil. This medium is very forgiving if you make a mistake by overfeeding or underfeeding. Because it has a buffer and contains nutrients by itself. Depending on the soil you use you don't need to fertilize the first 4 to 6 weeks (including growing period).

We advise to use biomineral fertilizers, such as Plagron, Biobizz, BAC or Bionova. Don't use more than two or three components. A bloom Fertiziler, enzymes and PK 13/14 or topbooster. PK 13/14 or Topbooster is always used in the latter stages of the flowering period.

  • How to grow outdoor?

    cannabis seeds

In order to be succesfull you need to pregrow the plant indoor. Once you've reached a height of about 25 cm (10 inches) you can put the plant outdoor. With this height the plant has rooted solidly and can withstand outdoor conditions (wind, rain etc.). Plants should be put outside in May. Depending on climate it can also be planted outside earlier.

  • What's a Sea Of Green?

    cannabis seeds
Sea Of Green, abbreviated SOG, is that you usually put between 16 to 25 plants few plants on 1 square metre.. This commercial method of growing is mainly done by using slabs (hydroponic system). Often plants are put on 12 hours light/12 hours of darkness schedule straight away, because they don't need to grow that high.

  • What are Hermaphrodites ?

    cannabis seeds

Many people are under the assumption that white seeds are not as viable and will not germinate as well as black seeds. This is however, a misconception. We have carried out extensive germination tests. And if anything we have concluded that in most tests the white seeds germinated quicker than the black seeds. A black or dark seed means that its shell is harder and will take longer to germinate. So the color of a seed doesn’t tell you anything about the overall quality.

    AK AutomaticAK Automatic wiet zaden

    Marijuana SeedsMedicinal Citral wiet zaden

    Blue Medi Kush

    Blue Medi Kush wiet zaden

    Spliff Cheese

    Spliff Cheese wiet zaden

    Cannabis Seeds

Sweet ‘n Sour Indoor wiet zaden

In één woord fantastisch!

  • Size of a seed

    cannabis seeds

The size of a seed entirely depends on the variety. Generally speaking Indica varieties produce bigger seeds. Within a variety it is also common that there is variation in the size of the seeds.

  • Freshness of seeds

    cannabis seeds

When yielding the buds containing the seeds they are hung out to dry or laid down to dry. Quickness of curing depends, like marijuana, entirely on which method you use and what the conditions (temperature and humidity) in the drying area are. We prefer a controlled drying period of 10 to 14 days. We then start yielding the fresh seeds. The germination rate of these seeds will not be ideal, common for fresh seeds, but should be at least 75%. Depending on which variety it is the seeds should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place. Preferably storing the seeds a plastic container in the refrigerator.

Purple Power will initially show a higher germination rate than for instance White Widow. Purple Power will also be ready a two weeks of cooled storage for a second test round. Other varieties will require up to two months of cooled curing.  Eventually germination rate should be around 90% to 95%. After these germination tests will then proceed to test vitality, uniformity and establish female percentages.

  • How are seeds made female?

    cannabis seeds

There are two known, proven methods to feminize seeds. Both have their advantages. In general using acid provides more stable seeds, but it is much more difficult. To be able to work with GA3 you would have to have a solid chemistry background. Gibberellic Acid-3 (GA-3) is a naturally occurring plant growth regulator which may cause a variety of effects including the stimulation of seed germination in some cases. GA-3 occurs naturally in the seeds of many species and is produced commercially by growing Gibberella fujikuroi fungus cultures in vats, then extracting and purifying the GA-3.

A great deal of research needs to be done to determine which species benefit, and the proper concentration of GA-3 for each type. This was the first method to feminize crops, also used in the orange industry.

The introduction of the STS method proved to be a revolution. Now everyone could easily make feminized seeds. Seed banks started cropping up like mushrooms. The one thing most of them forgot was to take time to produce seeds. The time factor is often ignored by seed banks. They just want to bring the seeds onto the market as soon as possible.

Plants used to produce seeds should ideally be 5th or 6th generation. It is a long and arduous process of selecting the best mother and ‘father’ plants to produce seeds. Fathers off course, being female plants (mother plants), which will later on in their flowering period be sprayed with either STS or GA3. This will stress the plant and these female plants will form male flowers, small balls at the internodes, which hold pollen. The pollen will be used to pollinate the mother plants (female plants). These female plants will eventually produce the seeds.

The process of selection goes like this: you start off with regular seeds, growing them and taking clones from the best female plants in the first two weeks of the flowering period. These plants are selected by looking at; the roots, strength, health, uniformity, stability and progress of flowering of the plant. You take several plants, which are in an identical condition. After taking clones you again repeat the selection process,   until you have reached 5th or 6th generation clones. This is when the plants genetics are at their prime and are stable and uniform enough to start to produce seeds.

Not all plants respond accordingly to the treatment with GA3. There are varieties that can only be feminized by using STS (Silver Thiosulfate). Moreover there are plants which simply cannot be feminized successfully. They show a too high occurrence in hermaphrodites or male plants per 1000 seeds. Per variety it differs if this incidence results in either a male or a hermie plant.

Therefore you should always pay extra attention to your plants in the first few weeks of the flowering. Hairs at all internodes mean this is a female plant. However, if you see balls forming at the internodes you either have a male plant (only balls) or a hermie. A Hermaphrodite plant displays both female flower (small hairs at the internodes) as well as male flowers (small balls at the internodes).

You can either remove these plants. Else they will pollinate the female plants after opening. Or you can just keep track of these plants and squeeze off the balls with a pair of tweezers. Repeat this process as long as necessary. Eventually the plant will stop producing these male flowers and continue growing into a female.

  • What is Autoflowering?

    cannabis seeds

Each autoflowering variety contains Ruderalis genetics. These Ruderalis plants are found grown in the wild in the most Northern parts of Russia (i.e. Siberia). The Ruderalis plant have over time adapted themselves to the harsh, rugged climate with often few sun hours a day. It has adapted and evolved itself in a way that it, regardless of how many hours of sunlight, will skip the growing stage and will directly start flowering. After about two and a half weeks´ time it will start to show hairs at the internodes (a sign that it is female).  It will, depending on the variety, usually take between 9 to 11 weeks from seed to yield.

  • What are white strains?

    cannabis seeds

White widow is regarded as head of the “White” family. It often has been used to form other ‘white strains’ or shares genetic material with other ‘white’varieties.  Common denominators are that white strains share genetic material, are covered in trichomes, have a high THC level and have a powerful high.

White strains are: AK, Blue Berry, Bubblegum,  Crystal White, Power Plant,  Snow White and White Widow.

  • What's supercropping ?

    cannabis seeds

Intentional bending of branches to create a bushier plant with more buds. Start to supercrop once the plants have reached the height of about a foot (30-40cm). Take branches that are stretching between nodes and gently take the branch between thumb and index finger, squeeze gently until you hear a crunching sound. So it will bend easily without breaking. This does require practice. If done too hard the tissue of the plant might not be able to heal. If you haven’t bended it hard enough it will return upright within a few hours.

You might see a crack in the outside bark, but this will heal. Leave the plant for a few days to minize stress. Elbows will start to form where the branch has been bent. Allowing the branch to grow laterally first, before growing up again. Exposing the lower nodes and buds to full light. And to provide space for them to become big buds. Rather than sitting in the shade of leaves and big buds. It also helps strengthen the main stalk. This should only be done during the vegetative period.

Plant requires 2 to 3 weeks to change its metabolism, so change from growing to flowering. Then no more enzymes. When flowering starts cut some branches. Start at the bottom. This is beneficial to the plant because:
    1) Improve the airflow under the plant.
    2) When growing outdoor animals will not be able to climb the plant
    3) Focus growth on the main bud

Flush once with a flushing solution of 5.5 PH and 1.2-1.3 EC level to keep salts from building up. PH 5.8.

    Clones EC 0.4-0.6
    Young plants 1.2-1.8
    Flowering plant 1.8-2.2
